Description
Wear your cactus pride! Printed on sustainable, fair-trade, cotton, AZ-made bandanas from the DouglaPrieta Co-Op and printed right in Tucson, AZ. These bandanas celebrate the beauty of the urban Sonoran Desert. Each cactus bandana includes illustrations of 25 actual cactus found in the central corridor of Phoenix, AZ. From the iconic, AZ native Saguaro cactus to the more exotic and unusual Austrocylindropuntia subulata (Eve’s Needle), this bandana is the perfect gift for any cactus-lover.
While Jen Urso searched central Phoenix for a diverse array of cactus for her Phoenix Cactus Map, she created unique illustrations of her favorite finds. That means that each cactus on this bandana includes a snapshot in botanical time of our desert beauty! You’ll find an Argentine Giant from the historic Willo neighborhood, a rare Mexican Giant Cardon from Christown and an edible Opuntia ficus-indica (Barbary Fig) from the corner of the famous Barrio Cafe.
For more cactus info, bundle a cactus bandana with the elaborate and informative Phoenix Cactus Map or Cactus Card Deck. You’ll appreciate and love the uniqueness of our climate even more. If you’re not from Arizona, you’ll be able to take a little bit of the desert home with you. Great to wear as a face mask, head wrap, decorative scarf or even to hang on your wall.
