The hand-illustrated cactus map encompasses all of Central Phoenix. That includes Buckeye Road in the South to Bethany Home Road to the north and 19th Avenue to the west and 16th Street to the east. The Cactus Cards highlight 28 of the most outstanding examples of each cactus specimen found in Central Phoenix. Dependent on one another, the illustrations in the Phoenix Cactus Map are derived from these detailed studies.

Jen has traversed the city scouting the best cactus gardens planted intentionally by city-dwellers and some that happened by “accident” (like on the side of the canal). Included are over 30 types of cactus species, as well as information on all types of cactus found at each location. Whether you’re new or native to Phoenix, this map is an intentional learning tool for all desert-dwellers or anyone who loves the desert. After learning about new cactus locales and species, apply your knowledge to find your OWN favorite cactus in the Valley of the Sun! Then, fill out your new favorites on the back of your Cactus Cards. With open lines to log your own favorite specimens, you’ll be on your way to your OWN cactus map! The map and cards ship separately but both include free shipping! The map mails in a cardboard mailing tube with a bamboo poster hanger so you can hang it up right away without needing to get a frame. The Cactus Card Deck mails in a 100% recycled envelope.
