2-color linoleum and photopolymer relief print on paper, hand-signed limited edition of 20, unframed

Created with Santo Prints, this limited edition set of relief prints uses text gathered from warning signs in the Downtown Phoenix area and the drawn edges of clouds. Typeset in the same style as most warning signs, this text blends from one warning to the next. On top of this text, I layered drawn lines of cloud edges I took from time-lapse photos. Both the warning language and the cloud edges create the feeling of constantly shifting boundaries. While a sign’s language sets up a line in space where you feel like you’re not supposed to cross, trying to pin down the shifting edge of a moving cloud feels just as arbitrary.

This print mails in a flat envelope in an acid-free, clear envelope with a cardboard backer.
