How many times have you entered “coffee near me” into your phone’s Google search? I’ve done it so many times that I realized I could navigate myself around Phoenix by my favorite coffee shops. It seemed a shame to keep this knowledge to myself! The Phoenix Coffee Map takes you all around Central Phoenix to independent businesses that are all NOT Starbucks. From drive-thru’s to walk-ups; great workspaces to original, iced creations; tasty cappuccinos to warm, friendly staff, this coffee map will assure you’ll always find a great spot nearby.
And although it’s the “Phoenix Coffee Map,” I couldn’t leave out some favorites from around the Valley! Whether you’re in Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Peoria or Glendale, I included some rare gems in the sprawling suburbs. In a world where Starbucks and Dutch Brothers scream for our attention, these dedicated, indie shops give our city warmth, character and a much-needed reprise from the big business juggernaut!
As an independent artist and small business owner, a lot of my work takes place OUTSIDE of my home office. That means needing to know where to go while I’m out walking, biking or driving the city. I can even say that some of these coffee shops saved my sanity during the pandemic (Copper Star Coffee, I’m looking at you). Of course, we all have our own favorites and these just happen to be mine.
Included on the map are also my votes for favorite cappuccinos, tastiest iced drinks and quietest workspaces. Depending on what you’re in the mood for, this could be indispensable information! Like the Phoenix Cactus Map, this is another slice of what makes our desert city so special.
8.5” x 11” maps ship flat in a sturdy envelope and 13” x 19” maps ship in a wide, sturdy tube (make sure you give it some time to lay flat after unpacking). These are printed in my own shop on archival, uncoated paper using archival, pigment-based inks.
